power door locks?

anyone install power door locks? I bought stock power door lock actuators for both my doors (93 ls-s coupe) as well as the wiring for both doors. Problem now is that I don;t have the wiring harness that connects both doors to a power source as well as to the power door lock control unit. Does anyone know how i can still wire up my power door locks? I do have the door lock control unit . Thanks

well i bought some aftermarktet actuators and plan on installing them…

only problem is the door handle must be pulled open and i got to redo that, but i got more problems to deal with now, so i’ll do mine later…

alright, ill tell you waht to do and oyu ask if you have any questions.
on the actuator there are two wires, one pos, one negative though it doesnt’ matter
if you decide to use one switch to control both, you need to buy a switch that will “click” in both directions. on the back of the switch it will have 8 prongs, 2 on each side. you wire up the positive from both actuators to opposite sides on the relay like this:
3 4
1 5
2 6
7 8

you would have the positive from each side going to 1 and 6 and the negative on 2 and 5.
then you take the grounds and put it on 3 and 7 (grounds for the switch), the positives for 4 and 8.

then you should open the locks when u go one way, and lock when u go the other way.

good luck, and im pretty sure this is all correct, im a bit stupid and i can’t remember if this is exact, so just askj

so there is no special control unit you need? now if you unlock the door via key would it unlock the doors or is it switch only? And if add on an alarm would you just tap into those wires?

91integra, did you ever get that to work? I also have a 93 LSS and was hoping to do the same thing with stock power locks, I thought it would be nice to buy the stock alarm and have it all be nice and pretty and OEM and stuff.

If it worked, what all did you have to wire up, and did you have to spice into the wiring harness, or are there plugs hidden somewhere down there for the brain to hook into the ECU?

I don’t know about OEM stuff, but I bought a 2-door universal power-lock kit from www.mypushcart.com for like $20+, and I was able to install it fine, then I installed an alarm to work with the locks. You DO have to drill though, since it’s pretty inevitable.
The only catch is, you don’t have a switch panel to lock and unlock the doors. Both the driver and passenger side locks are ‘master’ controls, so if you open or close one, then it also controls the other (which is all I really wanted). Then the alarm install just made getting in and out of the car SOOOOO much easier… hell, I don’t even touch the locks anymore from the inside OR using the key…
If anyone wants some install pics, I took some, and I can email them to you… frobernal@hotmail.com
