So I found out what I believe is all tegs come with power door locks they just don’t have the power door lock module. I have 3 wires that go to the latch mech.
Green/Blue
Yellow/White
Black
I believe the Yellow/White is +12, black is ground, I have no idea what Green/Blue is. My questions are
Am I correct with the power door lock actuators being installed on all cars or at least the wire combination I have? If I am wrong where are the actuators?
Can I hook my power door locks directly to an alarm without the power door lock module? (All I want is for my alarm to lock and unlock the doors)
Dustin, here’s what I found in my helms.
Looks like the latch and the actuator are indeed one and the same. You’d have to wire up a 451m. A 451m is basically two SPDT relays in one package. However, I’d have to delve into it further to figure the exact wiring, and i don’t have the time at the moment.
Without the switch I think it’s a fairly simple circuit actually.
Yellow/red +12 volts and black ground gives you unlock
White/Red +12 volts black as ground gives you lock
I retract my previous statement not all acuras have power door locks. There is a sensor built into the latch assembly however i’m not sure what this is for. The set I was sold that had power locks actually didn’t. I’ll post up more when I find a set with power locks
I have been searching for some answers for this. I have a 91 LS which does not come with power locks. I have a set of GS door harnesses for the locks, GS door panels with the switch, and I also have a set of door lock actuators. I want to install these into my LS.
My questions are:
Is this as simple as plug and play? I have been told so but I do not know how credible that source is.
Do I have all that is required to make the power door locks work?
Do I need the dash wiring harness and fuse box from a GS?

This depends on if you want to use the switches or wire them to an alarm. If you want to use the switches I will have to do some looking but I believe you will either need the power door lock module or a couple relays to make it work. I’m trying to pick up a set of door lock actuators so I can figure out and let everyone know
If one wanted to wire it up to an alarm, but not install the actual lock/unlock button in the car… theoretically could one wire the alarm straight to these wires that you guys are talking about?
Keyless entry would be pretty cool to have if no extra parts were needed.
I’m on vacation now, but when I get back. I’ll check the interior harness to see if it’s prewired for power locks. And as unified said if you’re Wiring the power actuators to the alarm directly you shouldn’t need any additional parts as long as your lock outputs are high current.
Ok so I finally got my locks in and pulled out my power probe (amazing tool) and did some testing. First of all let me state again I retract my first statement not all Tegs came with power door locks the 3 wires coming off are for the seat belt release. The locks are a simple 2 wire circuit with reversing polarity to change to lock/unlock. Tegs do not come prewired for these but you can easily run 2 wires into the doors
Blk/Red +12 Yellow/red ground is lock
Blk/Red ground Yellow/Red +12 is unlock
Thanks for taking the time to do this research. I’m pretty sure there were plently of us who where wondering what those wires were. Now that I know, I plan on using them for a possible trigger for my alarm…and/or a trigger for my radio off-delay setup (so the radio turns off when I open the drivers door).
