power locks for an ls?

I have a 92 ls and i wondered what the steps were to put power locks in my car and where i could get the switch (im sure i could get it through honda or acura put it is probably expensive). Or could i even get power locks to tie in with my alarm without getting a lock switch and just use keyless entry? If anyone has any suggestions or has done this please help…im wondering if it is even worth doing in my car.

Tegs and Automatics Dont Mix

im no installer

but you should be able to run the locks through your alarm. Thats what I did. You will need to purchase an actuator for each door and these will set you back about $25 each. These are what will actually pop the lock. Install prices will vary but I would expect it to take about 2-3 hours and no more than $200. That is ballpark.

thanks for the help…where did u go to have it done?

first off teg and automatics do mix! :stuck_out_tongue:

secondly door locks on are tegs is a simple matter. you can get the actuator for $5 a piece, $3 a switch… that’s $13, oh and a roll of wire… $15 + sweat and tears and you’ll have it (that’s if you have an alarm that will accept door locks). trust me, give it a try and you’ll see how simple it really is. If you do go out and have them done remember to subtract $15 from the price they give you and the answer you get is how much they’re making off you.

Make sure that the installers don’t drill holes in your door to get the wires through! You can thread the two wires through the molex on the doors if you take the time to do it.

Oops. Oh well, I just drilled new holes, used rubber grommets, and silicon glue to seal out water, then covered the whole thing with black split-loom tubing… you can’t notice it at all, looks stock… I guess I didn’t have the patience to mess with that Molex plug…
