Power Windows acting up STILL

Ok,

I asked before why my passenger window switch on passenger side would go down but not up (didn’t even click like it was trying)

And the driver side passenger window switch would put it up about 30% of the time just keep wiggling it till it goes up

I was told to take the switch and clean the contacts.

So I started with the passenger door first because thats not my door and I dont care if I mess it up as much as if mine’s messed up lol j/k.

Anyway I tore it down and took it and did as such and it didn’t make any difference.

So could someone give me another option to try taking everything I have said into account?

This means alot to me other then the squeaking front left suspension and my exhaust vibrating against the hole it burnt in my rear bumper I have no serious mechanical/electrical problems with the teg.

Thanks,
Chado

Maybe it’s time to change the power window switch itself.

not sure on the construction of the switch, but maybe the metal-to-metal contacts aren’t touching anymore when you press the switch up or down. Try getting in there and bending them a bit closer together (or whatever, depending on the switch)… could be simply that the metal has lost its “memory” and doens’t spring back to normal position anymore, after 10+ years of wear and tear.

If you cannot fix it this way, I’d look into buying some new switches from the dealership or from a member on the board. It’s highly unlikely that it’s anything else except the switch going bad.
