Last week my passenger rear window stopped working and just yesterday the rest of my windows stopped working also along with my power locks. Fuses are fine, any other ideas what could be the problem? The two front windows were halfway down when everything stopped working and I was able to raise them both up- by grounding the red/yellow and supplying 12v+ to the red/blue for the driver front and grounding the blue/yellow and supplying 12v+ to the blue/green. Anyways I know the motors are good, but can’t figure out why they don’t work. Possibly the window relay and lock relay? but i switched the power relay from a parts car and nothing also.
so none of the windows/locks work even at their individual door switches?
without seeing a wiring diagram, it sounds like a grounding issue. not sure if they share the same ground though. would need a diagram
Correct, none of the windows/locks work at their individual door switches. Hmm I’ll check that out, thanks
Welfare has a great suggestion to check for a bad ground. I looked at the schematic for a 91 and all the window motors and door locks share a common ground. The ground is G551 and is located by the dash fuse box. If you look straight at the dash fuse box the ground is just outside of the left top corner of the fuse box. You may have to remove the left kick panel that covers the fuse box to get at it. Once again, this is from a 91 schematic. Good Luck.
If the Master Window Switch (driver) the rest of the windows won’t work. At least that was true on my DC when the drivers side switch went out.
The power-locks is the part that has me confused, unless it also is tied to the master switch.
the fact that one window stopped working previously is pretty indicative of a ground losing continuity. especially since we now know that they share a common ground. check/clean that ground cluster
Just throwing ideas out there… bite me former G2 owner
So after a handful of times going back and looking at everything, it was in fact a bad ground. I just got it fixed last month, so no power windows or locks during that time  thankfully I have ac. Just posting back here so hopefully it could help anyone else if they have a similar problem. I checked and cleaned the ground at the top left of the fuse box at the driver’s kick panel with no luck. I then found a service manual to find other grounds, and cleaned one in passenger’s kick panel to the right and there is also one in the engine bay next to the wiper reservoir. Cleaned those both and bam! started to work again. Thanks for the help
