power windows > me

Ive gone and installed power windows in my 91 LS coupe from a 91 GS coupe. ( well doors and all)

I replaced the harness under the carpet with the one from the GS, minus the ABS wiring, then adapted half of my old harness to the new one at the blue plug near the fuse box. I figure these wires are for the power mirror/door speakers.
I then connected both grounds, plugged in the power window relay into the fuse box and the 4 pin power plug into the back of the fuse box.

and nothing! :bang:

mirrors and speakers work fine did i forget something?

Did you install the fuses in the fuse box for the windows?
fuse 7 - 20A drivers
fuse 2 - 20A pass. front
fuse 6 and 8 - 20A rears.:sipread: 94

It had all 4 20 amp fuses in place before I started. odd eh.

im going to get a volt meter and see if ive got power at the fuse box today.

Fuses should have power on them when you turn on the ign. switch to run.:sipread: 94

well i got around to checking it today and it turns out the fuse for the relay was NFG, i guess it must of blown while i was wiring it up.

im just happy it was a simple fix.

did you replace the entire door or just the the door panels to add the power windows? I have an RS and want to know what I should do to add power windows.

I replaced the entire doors.

Power windows really aren’t that great, I only change to power since my doors were junk. the one plus is the auto down button for drive thoughts.

I would take a nice reliable manual RS any day then a bloated GS or LS.
