powersteering removal

Look up the part #s. I did a while back and I believe the outers are the same and the inners are different. So you would need DA inners and either DA or EF outers. It’s been a while since I’ve checked though, so check for yourself before buying parts.
If I can actually remember to take pictures for once, I will make one when I do the swap.

Still need the final word from someone on the inner tie rods tho.
yeah please include where you sourced out the shims from.

yea its DA inners and outers when u do it. thats what i was told from the guy who sells the kit to space it with the hardware so it all bolts rite in…since hes the one making the kits for the manual swap i 100% trust what he told me so thats what i bought…

For some reason I can’t find the part number for the EF inner tie rod. However, I did confirm that the DA and EF outer tie rods share the exact same part #.

DA outer
(L) 53560-SH3-013
(R) 53540-SH3-013

EF outer
(L) 53560-SH3-013
(R) 53540-SH3-013

Just as I remembered, the outers are the same. If memory serves me correctly though, the inners are not the same part #. They may be compatible but I would recommend using DA inners.

Dont worry so much about the “special” shim as all you need to do is space the rear 14mm bolt (closest to rear of the car) about .23 to .25 inches on the non bushing side. Just use some washers that are large enough to fit on top of the rack. I just used three washers I purchased at home depot, also I would recommend getting a larger bolt where you are shimming the rack. I used an M10 fastener that has a 1.25 thread pitch and was 60mm in length. On the side with the bushing you simply take the EF bushing and place it inside the DA bushing. Again I used slightly longer bolts that were M10 1.25 thread pitch and 25mm long. Make sure to replace the washers as well. If you need some more help Ill take pictures of my setup tomorrow. Also I used DA inner and outer tie rods. Make sure you buy them new if you have doubts about yours, definitely not something to mess with.

Pictures are always helpful in this thread.

in the next week or 2 i will be doing mine, ill be sure to take pics along the process

yeah please do mines leaking and wonder how much longer it will hold

yea mines leaking pretty bad…i built my rack today, new DA inners and outers, with new boots and rings from honda

did those ball joints come with the rods or no?
and which rack gives you stock turning ratio or more?

yea mine came with them, and this rack is slightly more but its like .3 turns lock to lock, sure it wont be noticable
