pre-sand header before heat paint?

I’m getting the Chikara torq-step header soon with the black paint on it. I was wondering if I should try to remove the black paint before I put on some high temp-paint/ceramic paint?

Thanks.

yes your results will be better- i have a chikara header and it sucks ads about .2 hp the only good headers are JUN or DC.- stainless not ceramic

I’m not too interested in peak hp, if that is where the .2hp gain is at. From what I’ve read here about it, it creates more power throughout the rpm range, increasing the area under the hp curve.

I’d get a DC, but they’re too $$$
