Alright so I went to install my new radio today and found out that the previous owner cut into the factory harness rather than purchasing a new one from walmart or something. Anyway its a complete hack-job and Im not going to even attempt wiring the new radio to that harness. Is there anyway I can just replace the radio portion of the wires, or is it easier to go ahead and purchase the whole harness (that extends through the dash) which includes the plug-ins for the Sunroof, fogs etc…
honestly you can use almost any honda radio plug from 90-93 da 92-95 civic, pretty sure they all the same. i think the one i have in my car i cut out of a eg hatch cause even the adapter kits from walmart cover all years, not sure if the wiring color is the same i basically wired mine by pluggin in the adapter kit and matching the wire descriptions on the after market wiring to the wiring diagram for the pins in the manual, this way even if the colors were different i knew the pins were correct.
was kind of a pain to do it inside the dash but i did it properly with solder and heat shrink tubing and probably easier then replacing the whole harness.

WEll thats the thing, THe plug-in part, that comes from the car, is completely cut off, so i have nothing to plug an adapter into, its just a bunch of wires
yes i understand that, its easy to fix as the factory plug is easy to source from any da or eg, then wire it back into the harness. sorry if my response was confusing. i always drag things out more then required
GOT YA!!! haha thanks that actually makes a shit load of sense…
Mines was also cut up too. You can also get the OEM harness from a 92-93 honda accord.I reached all the way back as i could and snipped it off. All the wire colors matches our oem wires.so it was an easy install.I soldered and heat shrinked the wires and it has been great for the past year.!best of luck finding the harness.Should be at your local junkyards.:excite:
