Okay my engine blew so i got an engine/tranny/wire harns/ECU out of a 92 integra. Mines a 90… But when i went to swap engines i notice that the 90 wiring harnse isnt eh same at all compared to the 92’s. None of the pulgs with work for the 92 engine. I REALLY dont want to change harness and even if i get to that will ALL the plugs under the dash match up? I think i got myself into a big prob here. can anyone help ASAP? Thanks!
put your 90 engine harness on the 92 motor. swapping the engine harnesses is easy. You will also need to run the distributor, injectors and ecu from your 90…sell the 92 parts. converting to obd1 (92-95) isn’t worth your time in an instance like this. But if you really want to use the 92 ecu and convert to obd1 give turbo_ek@yahoo.com an email. his name is jason and can sell you an obd0 to obd1 jumper harness. That will allow you to run obd1 injectors, ecu, and distributor while keeping the engine and main harnesses obd0 (you will have to do some minor wiring yourself).
So keep the 90 harness and just take all the 90 stuff off the 90 engine and put it on to the 92 engine? Okay… now… the ECU… is there a difference between the two? I opened them up and they “look” different. I also notice that the 90 ECU has the red LED for dignostic. the 92 does not. Im guessing you will have the hook the ECU up to something to find out whats wrong with you car…? Thanks for the reply!

yes, keep both the non obd (90-91) engine and main harnesses. And yes the ecu’s are different, on is obd0 (non obd) the other is obd1…that is why they are not compatible. You check the trouble codes on the obd1 ecu’s via the check engine light (read your manual).
