Program Oem alarm remote

So I lost my old factory (Acura) alarm remote. I just bought a replacement but I can’t get it programmed to the alarm. I think I have the wrong instructions. So anyone know how to program it, it’s on a 91 ls-s.

not bad, answering a 6 year old post, but i hope someone will find it useful

sonofabitch!

What are the chances that Alpine still sells those rom chips? I have a used factory alarm and harness that I bought years ago and my fobs from an Alpine alarm I had from the same era. I had always assumed that I would be able to program them somehow to work together (like the 94-96 alarms).

Oh well, guess I can toss that head unit. The wiring harness is still good for something.

The older alpine alarms use Rom chips. I am sure if you look around hard enough you can find a chip set. They were sold in 4 packs.

Try pacparts they list as call for the 3 and 4 packshttp://www.pacparts.com/library/model.cfm?mfg=ALPINE&model_id=8080&CFID=1775001&CFTOKEN=21513486&action=list_part&back=0
