what’s vtec?
I for one am a strong LS VTEC believer. Not because I read it in a magazine or because my friend told me so, but because I and my associates have done the research and development. Just because HONDA didn’t make it doesn’t mean it’s a bad idea or that the dependability will go to shit. HONDA also didn’t make a optional 95mm or 98mm stroker crank for the “B” series blocks, does that mean we should’nt use them? NO! You make it work. You want a stroker crank, run a deck plate. Same concept for LS VTEC. I agree that most LS VTECs out there suck for drivability and dependability. But that’s only because people don’t take the right steps into making LS VTECs good dependable street motors. A 1:54 r/s is’nt as bad as people make it to be. Prime example,I don’t know how many of you reading this saw the MTV special about street racing that aired august 8 of 2002,but that was me. That was my LS VTEC that ran a year before the special aired and is still running in my customers car to this day w/ no problems. Those who saw the program seen what I put that motor through. That 9500rpm shift point wasn’t for the camera’s,it was a daily accurance that the motor saw for a year prior to being sold to another street race enthusiest. I’m not here to knock anyones thaughts and suggestions. After all if everyone agreed on everything and built everything the same there would be no shit talking and were’s the fun in that. My set ups work great for me and other set ups i don’t agree whith may work good for other people. That’s fine ,I’m ok w/ that. The only thing that really matters is time slips and handing over my money.
If anyone has any questions about LS VTECs, you can e-mail me at EUGENE@PROSTREETIMPORT.com. I’ll be more than happy to answer any questions.

What’s up people? Ya I finally got a computer. I’m still learning how to use this thing. The only computers I know are HONDA’s. Thanks for the welcome. I’m not going to lie, since the show aired I’ve raced a few people w/ big mouths, but I’ve pretty much stopped now w/ me opening up my new shop and all in so.CAL. I just let my friends do it for me. Besides my car has been waiting for it’s pistons to get made for the last 3 months.

EUGENE!
Werd up… I’m sure you made a A LOT of us glad for showing all those ricers up with your 4dr LSVTEC G2 on tv
Someone tried to tell me that you blew that LSVTEC engine on tv… Obviously, that doesn’t sound true according to what u wrote here… musta been a rumor.
Wasn’t my motor. It was that other guy Greg trying to be fast w/ his “right hand drive” show cars.
hahaha, Greg… rhd integra dc2… that was funny…
“but i won” :tsk: i’d hate that to happen to me, but it sucks u had to blow your motor to beat someone… it seems like his car breaks down a whole lot… i wonder what he’s up 2 now… i’ve heard he dropped a nsx motor into a crx i think it was… crazy…
eugene?

he was the owner of the lsvtec blue sedan integra in “mtv - im a street racer” who spanked on almost every car in the documentary…
If you have Kaaza, you can download TRUE LIFE Im a Street Racer off of me. My User Name is Twokeez. Plus someone has it on this site that you can download. Its worth the download, there is a couple of G2’s on there, one of course is Eugenes, the other guy driving a G2 is a guy called Slimeball who takes on the other Guy Greg with his “RHD Stand Alone Fuel Management” 3rd Gen Tegra. The G2 obviously could pull harder. Greg got :owned:
One thing I noticed while watching them race on the show is that Eugene never missed a gear unlike the others. Plus shifting at 9500:drool:
Hey Sally.(I assume your name is) Great post. I like to see other peoples opinions on what they think. It’s always good to have an open mind on different set ups. You never know if you might be missing out on something. There is always new products coming out and sometimes it feels like keeping up is impossible. Best thing to do is to do it, not read it. That means testing products and working out all the bugs. I understand not too many out there have the money to be doing this. Or if they do have money, they don’t have the pacients on doing it over and over till it’s right. Fortunetly I have pacients ,but not too much money. My car alone has set me back $20,000 in research & development. And w/ that, for the most part, I know what works and what doesn’t. I know were you should spend your money. I won’t sit there and sell a customer something I don’t believe in. Then if it doesn’t work that’s my name riding on that product, even though I didn’t make it. Don’t sell LS VTECs short. You can’t just put ITR pistons in an LS block and think it’s going to last or not burn oil. Put together right, they’ll be as dependable as a GSR block w/ the horse power. Our PRO STREET stg. 1 kit makes 200 whp on a DYNO JET w/o head work on 91 octane 11:1 comp. That’s good dependable hp. Anyways sorry for going off on a tangent. Thanks again for the welcome.
