I ordered some prothane shifter bushings and the bushing that goes on the end where the rod mounts to the tranny doesn’t fit (too small). am I just suppose to cut the center of the stock rubber piece or did I get the wrong part?
Exactly explain small. Is it real loose and falls out or something. I have the same bushings and with the help of a friend we got it in in about 5 minutes.
How much do you think that a shop would charge to install the bushings?
the diameter of the round bushing is alot smaller than the space where the stock bushing was… maybe I’m putting the thing in the wrong spot. in my package I have a round bushing and a long flat bushing. the flat one is supose to go where the shift rod and extension rod mount to the underside of the car and the round one I believe goes where the extension rod mounts to the tranny.
