PSI mysteriously went up

My car is in hybernation for this winter. Last time the pressure for all tires were at 32 PSI. Today I was just curious to check the PSI. The drivers side was up at 37? and the passenger went down at 27?!

I know nothing about tires and all. Whats going on?

Did the air temp go up from the last time you checked it? B/c air pressure drops one psi per 10 degree drop in temp if I’m not mistaken b/c of the air molecule density changes. So if you filled it to 32 psi when it was lets say 20 degrees outside and the temp where your car is stored is 70 degrees that might be why. Sorry if I worded this kind of weird, I’m half awake haha

Idk whats going on with the passenger side one though. Possibly a shitty valve stem of a bead leak or a nail

Right. The “contract and expand” thing with fluctuating cold and heat. Gotcha. But the passenger one is the real mystery. Tires are in good looking shape. Rims are OEM. I filled that one up to 32 just now and I’ll wait and see if it goes down in a couple of days. I left the drivers for now. Thanks.

So how the tires doing?

I know right! What a mystery! How could the passenger tire lose 5 psi over the course of a few months with temps bouncing all over the place.

So since then I inflated the passenger to 32 and Deflated the drivers to 32. So far both tire pressure stay relatively the same. That rules out holes on the passenger side tire.

Question:
Can uneven pavement cause different tire pressures readings if the car is parked for a period of time? Cause I did park the car at another location and the pavement seemed uneven or not leveled. After moving the car to the garage, the tire pressures never bounced up and down assuming the garage floor is a true flat surface.
