PSI on tires went up 4 PSI. Not driven in a week.

I’m running on Fat fives wrapped around on 205-50. Khumos. The last time I added air was in Nov 2010 with 31 PSI on all four. I haven’t driven the car for a good week cause I’m on work vacation. It sits in the garage. This morning I just checked it with a gauge and it read 35 PSI? I think I understand it will go up if you drive it because of the tire heats up. Can the pressure go up because of cold as well? I don’t have knowledge on that type of stuff. Educate me. Thanks.

Cold weather makes PSI drop. Hot weather increases it.

Try a different tire gauge.

are you using the same gauge? cheaper tire gauges are horrible inaccurate.

Its the same gauge and has an elephant nose. Not a cheap one either. And I did try another tire gauge as well. Friends said I might of mis measured the last time I checked it. I don’t think thats possible. I would have gotten different readings. Not 31 on all four.

since it was cold in the garage you would think it would have dropped. Weird.

maybe your guage is faulty or almost there, it is weired… maybe someone took it out without you knowing and put it back right before you checked the psi.

I live alone. Car is in garage.

ghost.

well only thing that comes to mind it “CHRISTINE”

Can anyone else give me a reasonable explanation other than the supernatural?

Nothing other than weather temperature and measuring device.

Adjust the pressure back to spec, monitor it for the next couple of days and be done with it.

i wouldn’t worry to much about it.
