as the title says, im interested in making my nonfunctioning A/C button into a start button. anyone know if this is possible and if so, how i could go about doing it?

There are bunch of other push-button start threads, why would the location of the button make any difference with respect to the process? I’d just assume there’d be some fiberglass work involved to make it look seamless 
I think he means using the ac button as push start.
I’m sure you can rig something up, but it’s going to be a lot of work. Reason being, the ac switch isn’t a momentary switch. Someone correct me if I’m wrong. Push button starts make a connection when being pressed, as opposed to an on/off constant when pressed.
It’s a cool idea though. Maybe you could put something behind it, but again it will be quite a bit of work.

billa was right - i meant to use the actual A/C button - but as i was in the teg yesterday fixing the wiring on the JDM mirrors i noticed the same thing billa is talking about. so…my next idea was to use the rear defrost switch but i dont think that will work either because it will be sending power constant . im going to fiddle around and see if i can come up with something.
i got the idea from youtube where someone firdt used the horn as a start button, then i saw someone use the power folding mirrors button and finally a button from the HVAC system in the teg -
i will probably end up purchasing a universal kit, if nothiing else to use the relay…and then go from there. i was hoping i could come across some diagrams and wire is up quick like., but it looks like this may be on the same list that fixing the JDM mirror motor is on…and may have to wait till the plates come off
