Q about dome light

dome light does not come on when you open the door, light bulb is still fine just that light doesnt come on…any help/ideas how i can fix it!?!

You have trip switches in your doors so when they open, the switch releases, and the light comes on… They’re black and slide back and forth - check if they’re broken. Both of mine are :frowning: :danger:

I used WD-40, buy it anywere(auto section of any store) or you could just some Personal Lube if you have some?:slight_smile:

i just did this the other nite and used WD40 and it worked like a charm!

Do other things not work, such as the warning chimes and door ajar light? This was my problem, I took out the door switch and a ton of rust was on it. I used PB Blaster (like wd40) and scraped off as much as I could and everything started working after that…try it. There is a Teg Tip.

Yeah man just go look at it, it only takes a few minutes…depending on how much crap is on your sensor. This was about as good as I could get mine…it was caked on really bad. I had no chimes, no door ajar light and the dome light didn’t turn on when the door opened. Now, I have them all back BUT for some reason the key-in chime beeps whenever I open the door, regardless of whether the key is really in or not. :shrug:

pb blaster and some sandpaper worked for me
