I have read the swap guide for swapping a front bumper from a 92-93 teg to a 90-91 teg, but will the process be any different when putting a 92-93 JDM teg front bumper on a 90-91 USDM teg? I ask this since there is a different bumper support bar used in the JDM version. I mean, is the trimming/cutting/notching of the styrofoam that is normally done to the USDM front bumper going to be the same on the JDM front bumper
I am going to get both the front and rear 92-93 JDM bumpers for my USDM 91 teg.
wats the point both usdm and jdm bumper are the same besides the support was is lighter and much more dangerous in a front-end accident… if is a dd then i would keep the usdm bar, but if it barely see the street then i would opted for the jdm… but to put it simply you’ll need the 92-93 bumper brackets as the 90-91 are different, that will probably be all u need beside the bumper and support… the back should just bolt right up… hope this answer your question…
I am also assuming that the bumper brackets are different between the 90-91 JDM and the 92-93 JDM versions just as they are different between the 90-91 USDM and 92-93 USDM versions, right? Same difference, regardless of which country, right?
don’t get jdm bumper supports. they won’t protect your car worth crap. I have a 90 integra xsi and i am currently swapping the jdm bumper supports out for usdm/cdm bumper supports… sure its way heavier, but it’s safe.
yes i really agree… had a minor front-end contact… did shiet to my car besides messing up the bumper and pushed the fender to the door… but i wouldn’t mind if it was for all-out race/track…
