Question about Legend Brake upgrade brackets.

Do the brackets have to be off of a Legend GS? Or can the ones off of any 91-95 Legend work? I see some on Rockauto for cheap and that is the last piece I am missing from the upgrade. If it can only be from the GS does anyone know where I can buy just the brackets for the GS dual piston calipers?

Yeah so could someone magically figure out if the Legend LS and base models have the same front caliper brackets as the Legend GS? I have tried Del Ray, and the don’t have the item listed individually. If I don’t hear anything I will go to the junk yard with the caliper and figure it out myself and post the answer here with some key search words that way the next person like me can have this answered. Thanks if you can help- Marcus

there a post here somewere it was done a week or two ago an had all the info on what caliper an bracket an rotors of the mini cooper that worked

So yes the regular single piston Legend caliper bracket works.

the single piston brackets actually work better… I’m running the dual piston calipers, with the single piston caliper brackets, with 2007 minicooper rotors… completely bolt on, no milling or modifying required… http://forums.g2ic.com/showthread.php?117381-Legend-Brake-Upgrade&p=2246647&highlight=#post2246647

I read your post too late:( So anyway, how centered are your rotors? Perfectly centered in the caliper? And are they Type S cooper, or reg cooper, or does it matter?

with the single piston brackets(23t) the rotors are centered perfect… the rotors i used are from a 2007 mini cooper 1.6L L4 SOHC, i think that is the base model… There is a link in my other post for the exact rotors that i used

Awesome, thank you for responding. So for the record, to not have to machine anything and for it to bolt on no probs, use a base mini cooper front rotors, Legend Gs dual pot calipers, and use non legend gs, caliper brackets for either the ITR, Accord V6, or base non GS legend. asequeira26, this is my understanding. Correct? Again, thanks for the direction.

Yes, that is correct…

One more question asequeira26, what caliper goes on what side? Did you just keep the right on the right and the left on the left? Or did you flip flop? Because I was planning on just leaving right on right, left on left. I just wanted to find out what you did because you have pulled this off no prob. Thanks again homie.

i flipped sides… it made bleeding much easier
