question about weld in fitting for my oil temp guage

i ordered the fitting that gets welded into the oil pan…would it be a good place to put it beside the drain pan hole??? there should be plenty of clearance for the temp probe there right??

Go to http://www.nipponpower.com look at engine, then accessories and buy the Greddy block adapter, The screw in temp sensor holes are metric. What type of guage are you using, mechanical or electrical and what brand? The adapter has outlets for Turbo oil line , oil Pressure and oil temp senders, but they are metric. I had to get mine machined to use my Autometer guages.

i ordered the fitting already…so i need to get it welded in…i was thinking about putting it to the right of the drain plug (if you are looking straight at it). there is nothing to get in the way there and it will be constantly in oil.
