Did the button climate control switch from lever - including recirculation motor, and motor on vents.
Bought a harness from one of the guys here, not too many wires to splice out. My question, is that the factory wiring diagram shows the main ground for the climate control, recirculation & vent uses ground 301, which is in the engine compartment, near the power steering pump and reservoir. Being lazy, Im wondering why I can’t just make a new ground on the passenger side, of course thoroughly sanding/prepping the area. This would be symmetric to ground 401, which is near the under dash fuse box.
It makes sense to me to keep my circuit changes as isolated as I can - of course the power is still being shared among several circuits and relays - the reason multiple grounds are used is due to relative location, but perhaps also to cause problems with other circuits in the event of a short?
