Quick and Easy Alternator Removal

its kinda tight to do it this way but you just haft to move your brake master clynder to the side not un hooking it. unbolt your alternator and just move it till you get it out. get the new one and put it the way is goes and put the brake master back and your done only takes about 30 mins or less

i took my manifold bracket off the back and slide it under the manifold, then up throught all the antifreeze lines and out between the tb and all the wires. im thinking if the stock will work. i got a aebs manifold when i did that. it is easier then taking all that crap apart and then putting it back on.

it was a lot better than doing it the other way

i jus tooke off the drive shaft and it came right down

I just removed three bolts holding the shaftin placeand 2 bolts from a bracket holding the exhaust. After that I jimmied it out.

Remove 3 14mm bolts holding the halfshaft in place… and then pull it down… remove that cover that covers the Powersteering lines… forgot what its called really lols… but yeah you’ll see what I mean… it takes a lil pulling to get the bracket to come down… Use a bar or something to kinda pry the halfshaft support bracket so its able to be pulled down…

its kinda hard to explain… but you’ll see what i mean when your under the car… once you pulled it down… work with the alternator… and you will have it off…

Another way I found out… without HAVING to pull the axles… well you do have to in a way… but you dont need to have that big 32mm nut taken off…

since removing the axle you have to remove your lower ball joint connection anywaise… so best way is to just remove the lowerball joint connection… Remove the 3 14mm bolts on the halfshaft bracket… and then use a pry bar or something… pry the halfshaft so that it pulls out of the transmission…

Have a friend hold onto the knuckle and pull it towards him… while you pry the halfshaft out of the transmission… once you have it out… then the halfshaft and axle will fall down lower… and there you go… you got room to take the alternator out… its a lot less work then having to pull the axle right out… I discover this while doing my motor swap… since I didnt have the 32mm Axle socket… so I did it this way and got both axles out of my tranny and my engine and tranny came right up when I took my engine out=D

One more thing… you must play around with the alternator and it will fall right out… be careful… cuz it might come right out without warning…

TRUST ME just have a hand holding the alternator… the FIRST TIME i did this… i wasnt careful…

ALTERNATOR fell and SMACK me right in the face… DAMN it hurted LIKE HELL… especially in the COLD(0degree outside)… so MUCH pain… but I FELT so happy at the same time cuz it came out lols… but it busted my lips… and my friends thought I got into a fight… when really the alternator beat me up ahaha… so yeah a word of warning…
