i want to paint my wipers black again, someone told me, however, the setup is very delicate and if not done exactly right they wont work anymore and ishould just cover up the car and paint them while they are on… what do u think guys good/bad idea? btw im new here dont make fun of me for being dumb!
Delicate? What do you mean? The bolts are stripped, the arm linkage is messed up?
Whatever the case, I think it will be best to remove the wipers and have them powdercoated($25 max for all 3 - hatchback model). Then fix what is delicate at the same time.

I painted mine with regular paint. it works fine, looks great.
unless somebody messed something up already, there is nothing delicate about it. Remove the bolt and remove the wiper (you may have to pry it up a little with a flathead) I used hi temp engine paint and several clear coats and they have not faded or scratched in 2 years.

alright thanks guys, yea i just think the person was trying to tell me if i didn’t put it back exactly how it was the wipers wouldn’t work anymore, but i guess it can be done if all u guys did, i think i’ll go try that… thanks again
turn on your wipers until they get standing straight up on your windshield, then turn the ignition off so they dont go back down. put towels underneath and to the sides of the wipers, so you dont spray paint your windshield or hood or anything like that. spray a few times, let dry for a couple minutes, put another coat on if you think it needs it.
