Hey guys, I recently ordered the energy suspension trans bushing set. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ENS-16-1101R/ It came with that wide piece with the 2 holes. Then it has that round piece. My question is where is that round piece supposed to go in? I was thinking right in where the bolt the goes through the bottom of the shifter. Or is it where the linkage connects to the trans up front? It sais it’s suppose to clear up play in the shifter but if that bushing goes up in the front how will that clear up my play in the shifter?:tapfing:
you are correct. the bushing goes in the shifter itself, at the bottom and replaces the factory plastic ones.
The round bushing is installed in the front of the change extension rod, part 15 in this picture:

The change extension rod stabilizes the change rod when shifting, by replacing the bushing the play and unrestricted change extension rod will be better supported. The end result is a firmer more possitive feeling/touch when shifting gears.

It looks like the round piece in my kit would go where that #16 part is in your picture.
correct
Number 16 is were i installed mine. Fit perfectly
Was there any play in the shifter after you installed the kit? My shifter can go left to right while in gear. It feels like it’s in nuetral I can move it so much.:manual:
worn out u-joint?
I got it fixed. Installed the kit and it was still loose so I put in a piece of rubber hose through the bottom of the shifter hole. Tight as hell now.
