quick smoke/valve adjustment question

if my valves are out of spec. could that cause a little smoke when at high RPM’s??

i think it does cause smoke kos i looked at videos of my car racing and never knew mine smokes too until i watched it! my valves are off and knocking too! it also causes the car to bogg at high rpm if your valves are too off. fat performance when tighten up to original specs. big difference.
