Has anyone used R22A or propane in their AC systems before? I have heard it’s better for the enviorment and is a huge increase in cooling ability for the AC system.

dont put anything but R134a in your ac system R 12 has not been used in automobiles since 1994 if you still have the R 12 ac system set up you need to get a R 134a retrofit kit as far as i know you wont get any more added cooling and propane is more dangerous say you have a leak under the hood there could be the potential for and explosion R 134a is not flammable.
R22 is for home AC systems and it is no longer produced. It is being phased out now because it is not friendly to the environment. Stick with R134a… much easier and much safer to deal with.
