R32 Skyline Taillight conversion

Pics anyone?

im currently doin this conversion, been at it for a while now, i only do it in my spare time which is hardly ever. along with the jdm type r front. once i have some time i’ll post some pics

let see some pics bud:) document it and what not …

Yeah, I’m all about the pics myself … I wanted to do a type R front end as well… so i wouldn’t mind seeing what you end up with for a write-up. But i still have my tails just sitting here and i haven’t touched my car in about 3 months… So I hear ya about the spare time.:dozing: :dozing:

Thanks guys im glad to of peaked your interested. well i dont have any new pics of the process but i do have some old ones of how it looked like for a short period of time. but since then i’ve decided to rip everything out and down and redo it a little cleaner and the right way. reason being, was i paid some local body shop to do it for me and they totally screwed me. so i decided to take things in my own hands and fix their F**K UPS. and doing so it looked alright but i worked with what was left and didnt like it to much so i decided to redo it with fresh sheet metal for a much cleaner look. here are some crappy camera phone pics of what it looked like a few month back. side note, this was never close to being finished was just a rough fitting with minor body work.

as of now the car looks a lot better but is taken apart to do some more silly stuff to it, sad thing is i dont have any recent pics of it.
if you have any questions or comment feel free to comment or message me but as of right now i havent touched the car in months, just too busy with work. if you’d like to see some more of the work me and my shop does check out the site. www.LM24.net and for you tri state guys feel free to come by and check it out. btw its not a body shop its a custom performance fabrication shop, we make one off parts and other cool stuff. thanks for looking

i understand that your trying to be different but it looks like complete and total shit.

kinda reminds me of a first gen integra rear…but that might be only the spoiler I dunno

yea well everyones intitled to their opinion, i have another da all clean and jdm’d out anyone can put a car together cleanly and tastfully, so yea i wanted to be different and like i said that was the before pictures and not even close to being done. the hoods not closed the tails werent bolted in, the gaps havent been filled, in those pics, it still needed a lot of work. but as of now the body lines line up, most of the gaps have been filled most people from the rear couldnt even tell it wasnt a skyline. but doesnt matter, as long as im happy right? and as long as i have something under the hood to back it up. my car can look like crap if you cant catch me to see it… :burnout:

it doesn’t look that bad, if the tail lights weren’t so big it’ll be better but still good job, itr front and r32 tail lights, i’m interested to see how it’ll turn out once it’s done and painted.

thanks for the positive feedback. the lights arent that big. it only looks it because the housing isnt painted to match. we work on a lot of skylines at my shop so when we had a r32 i took some measurements and the rearend is almost identical to the DA’s. the only difference is the DA’s is a hatch and the skyline has a trunk. but if you’ve seen pics of the drift s13 (coupe) with the r32 tail lights that conversion looks flawless, and all you DA owners know we get mistaken for those 240’s anyways so i figured what the heck give it a shot.

i think if with an emblem shave and the right color, that could look pretty boss

thanks well as of now the whole trunk is shaved no emblems, no trunk lift area (the indented area in the filler panel) no key hole, no antenna and no mugen style wing. replaced it with an official skyline r32 wing.

its definately not my cup of tea, so to speak. but it looks like you are doing a good job at it.

i think the skyline tails look a bit out of place. i’ve seen a couple of G3 Integra tail conversions that looked fair, but i still didn’t care much for them.

the rear end of a DA is probably the single hardest honda to modify and look good. honda hit the nail on the head with the DA rear end.

good luck, and keep up the good work.

i like it ,props for being different and maybe just maybe i’ll take this conversion on for my next project  .i hagve a question for you though ,i did the rsx lights as you might have seen in my project page and they were a pain in the ass ! the houseing isnt flat like the da’s and it needed alot of work to fit them and its still tricky to put them in and take them out .So hows the houseing for those ? are they flat on the backside ? or are they all curved and bubbled and shit ?

anyways keep it up ,looks great so far ,to 90IntegraLS1.8L i’m sorry but that was very rude and uncalled for .it isnt done ,give him a chance to do the fucken work and finish it up before you talk shit …

later:rockon:
