I searched around and can’t really find much info, but is there an R33 body kit that is made of urethane? If not then does anybody have the R33 fiberglass kit that could give me some more info on fitment, quality, and durability? I’m really loving that kit but don’t really want to get fiberglass due to durability issues. Pictures are also very welcome.
had the fiberglass one before I wrecked the teg. I personally liked the fit cause it did away with the blemishes on my front bumper. Meaning the factory bumper was hanging off the edges and the r33 just filled in the gaps. I personally used aluminum piping on mine to brace the bumper to the car and to keep it from flapping in the wind. I really hate when I see people put kits on their car half ass. I know most people here hate kits, but I personally like it if you do it right. I also think most people would’ve liked my car seeing it in person even though they’re not a kit person. Here is a pic. don’t know if they all worked. If you need more I’ll send some through e-mail. I really suggest beefing up the fiberglass if you know how before putting it on. I hope this helps…kinda feel sorry for you cause I don’t think anyone else will respond.lol
thats true, but from the looks of it your kit is all krazy and wild. Thats when pepo start hating and talking about how ricy it is. But truthfully there arent really many kits that look good on these DA’s. But i actually like yours, nice teg. Sorry about the lost though
yeah it sucks, but I’ve been wanting to change the teg for a long time now. This just gave me a reason to. You think you have it how you want it then don’t like it.lol I wanted to keep the front and get ww sides and rear. Now it’s all gone and I think it will be stock on my new teg. still going with ww sides and rear, debating on front bumper. I don’t worry about people calling my shit rice, I like what I like.
i personally think that the R33 and R34 bumpers on DA’s both look pretty decent, this guy richie in winchester has an R34 customized bumper (he and his dad own a body shop in sterling) he filled the “cutouts” over the main air dam in the front bumper and made custom cutouts to use his stock bumper lights in almost perfect location. it looks fabulous. he has the full kit but has more “simple” side skirts. rear bumper is pretty subtle too. the only reason his kit looks REALLY good is the fact that instead of putting black or aluminum mesh in the air dam, he just decided it’d work pretty nicely with an intercooler in that spot, the intercooler is pretty big though, it fills the void AND some. looks beautiful too. if i can, i’ll take pics of his car next time i’m near his house. i’ll get my buddy to let me use his camera and next time i see richie is at home, i’ll come by and see if he’ll let me take some pics of his car. i think his car is AMAZING, and its retarded fast too, like 390 horses at the wheels. unless its got slicks, there is no traction in first, second, or third. he can launch the car and not roast em, and still be really quick. with slicks this thing runs mid 11’s, its retarded. i love his car, he doesn’t drive anymore though, he just washes it every week and puts it in the garage for the winter. last time i talked to him, he said he’d only put 100 miles on it so far this year. he’s got probably the nicest DA i’ve ever seen, and damnit, he’s not a member here. next time i talk to him, he will be.
yeah pics would be nice. I do body work too, so it would be interesting to see the molded bumper lights. I like the r front bumpers myself. I just wish I went with something else besides the bw rear and sides. Well now I have plenty of changes to make.lol
