Anybody ever heard of or used Raceland coilovers before? I’ve heard that they don’t make them for a DA but you can use the EG ones just wanting anybody’s opinion on them?
get some eg/dc front forks and try them out
My buddy has them on his subi and loves them. He loves them so much that he bought some for his gf’s subi. I live really close to RaceLand and I saw that they make it for the 93 acura but not the 90. What is the difference between the two the. As far as the EG ones go, what year fit for the integra’s? Also my header is super low right now so I can’t drop the car but like 1 inch. Do the EG’s drop it more than that being that they are for a different car? Thanks
the EG ones will fit as long as you use the EG or DC forks, so any year EG lol
shoot how much are the DC forks? Any good websites that sell them for a good price? Why doesn’t the 93 integra ones work? Thanks!
the body on the eg/dc shocks are bigger, and im sure you can just go to any junk yard with an integra or eg and just take them off
I’m stupid though man and have another question. Are they direct bolt on. Like I’m thinking about doing my own ball joints too when I do it. What do you think about kyb’?
yea they will bolt in lol…the only real difference is the diameter of the top where the shock sits into it
what’s your end goal with using these coilovers? Style aka “dumping it” or Racing a.k.a autocross or roadracing?
From what I SEEN, it’s another rebranded cheapo Chinese coilover with probably limited R&D behind it as majority of rebranded Chinese coilover companies, especially at that price. If you’re using it for looks and dailying purpose, then I suppose it will work out for you since at that point you’ll probably be more focused on aesthetics reasons. However if you plan on autocrossing or road racing then I would definitely look elsewhere and for proven setups such as the koni/gc or teins and etc with actual R&D behind them, not just hearsay like “I installed ‘x-brand coilover’ and they ride amazing!!”. First off, when you install any new coilover, of course it’s gonna feel better than your previous setup, but only time will tell if that same initial response/performance is going to continue and that’s why you’re going to pay a premium for higher brand coilovers because they spent millions to insure that there products are quality and continue to test and retest to insure that it lives up to their expectations, where many other coilovers are mass-produced at a cheap cost where there is limited quality control to back it up to save costs. And also take into consideration to see if Raceland rebuilds their coilovers, or at least sell replacement dampers, if not, in the event down the road if the coilover do blow, you may be forced to buy another complete set if they don’t offer replacement/rebuild services.
crap coilovers. my friend blew his within a week. i would rather ride on blown stock suspension then have these.
RaceLand are coming out with some that are for the 90-92 integra in 2 months.
