okay i think there’s some confusion here we ALL agree that “kamasanga” is on a wild goose chase for a “race tranny”.
but 4drb16 et al were trying to point out that there are real “race trannies” but they are built for 15K dollars… but i guess sarcasm isn’t always relayed well through the internet.

Real “race” trannies can be built by companies like quaife, but they cost 15K
on a stock integra with an intake, we were pointing out that spending 10-15K on your tranny is well, kind of ridiculous.

All I have to say is, build your motor FIRST … then find a tranny to suit it. I guarantee you, you will NOT get a Quaife 6spd for under 13K … and you don’t need one. A tranny does not make a car that much faster (it’s not self-propelled) … learn more about them, research it … a race tranny is for a RACE CAR … and they will break if used improperly … I can just see you with a busted $15K tranny, stock motor … and no RS sticker … that will suck. PSSSSHHHH :). Seriously, do your motor first … and you will be happy with an LS tranny.

Ok, good question,… short and to the point.
I’m not keeping my Integra stock with a racing tranny,… i gotta built the engine first,… which that is what i’m doing right now. THEN i’m getting the tranny.

i guess your teg is gonna be no holds barred balls out with side exit header or something? since racing trannies arent meant to be streetable… have you considered just doing a clutch upgrade like everyone else?
maybe it was one of those trannys that has 6 gears and 2 final drives, which means 12 total gears, and it was air shifted by the paddles on the steering wheel!!! :think:
