How’s the sensors suppose to work then?
I thought of that one already, also I put mine in the lower left portion of my windshield by my VIN.

There is a detector/reciever I read about in a mag a while back that mounts the audio alert in the a/c vents. Their are 2 sensors that you put in the front & rear bumpers to stop the lazers/etc. The lights are 2 LEDs you mount wherever you choose (they put them on opposite sides of the instrument cluster housing)
I’ll try to find the mag and get the model number and price. I think this set-up ran about $300 or more, but it’s SO stealth. (no big window module!)
Stokelesg2, mount your detector pretty high right under your rear view mirror. If your worried about laser then mount it low.
Escort SRX or SR7+ don’t just sit back and take that laser ticket because with all the system’s you guys have mentioned not one of them will protect you from laser if you are out there by yourself. Best thing is to have something to shut laser down.
Lasershild, laser jammer, and veil.
We have one and no tickets, even when they hit us with the gun . Basically it has a built in scrambler. check em out you’ll love it. Not s shiny as the competitors, but who cares.
I love how they spelt whistler :giggle:
i dont see how a scrambler would work, its not like the cop cant just write u a ticket anyway, what are you gonna do argue that you bought a scrambler and u know his shits off.
Well they can give you a ticket, just a ‘General Speeding Ticket’.
Basically they can’t get an accurate reading on your car, but they know you were speeding. I already got pulled for going at least 15 over in town, but he said he couldn’t get a good bead on me for some reason, so he won’t bother giving me one.
BTW, this thread was 2 years old, give or take.
yea i know, im bringing it back cause i want to get a new detector and i was interested in some reviews.
Cobra XRS-9740. I’ve had it for 2 years and it has saved my ass more times than I can count.
I’d be interested to see how one of the scramblers work.
I was thinking of picking up a RMR scrambler to work with my cobra.

yea cobras a good one, i got a shitty 6band one now that actually saved me a couple of times, im actually gonna get the escort passport 8500 i think tho. ive done some research and for the price it seems to outperform most.
ValentineOne…costly, but definitely worth it.
most of the reviews i read put the valentine one and the escort very close, and with the 100+ dollar difference imo makes it not worth it.
Your mileage may vary. I have had my V1 for 10 years and counting. If I had to get another one, I would still get V1 without any thought.
Frig…I wish they weren’t illegal in Canada.
my car lighter is not working somebody cut the wire (the previous owner) right before it connects so i cant wire them up plus there is no room to work on it can i just plug it somewhere in a fuse box so everytime i start the car it comes on? if yea then where?
follow the directions of this thread (i started this thread in the Electronics forum)

i did the same thing, all you have to do is run the hot wire to this free pin:
(dont let the orientation of the pic throw you off, just rotate it 90degrees with all the fuses at the bottom, and thats how it sits in the car)
run the hot wire with a female connector to that pin, and run the ground wire to a good ground, and you’re set. i didn’t use an in-line fuse with mine, but i will be using one in the near future. voltage spikes are not fun.
ight ill try that and then i like the idea of having it in ur clock lol…but im thinking about something better if i end up doing in ill post some pics of it.
and better i didnt mean better than your because there is no better or worst its whatever you like.
