Radiator busted?

ok so i haven’t driven my DA since friday. i let the car sit for the entire hot ass weekend and today i checked the oil and water and the water seem’s to have vanished. well i filled it up and let it sit there while running to see if i can find a leak, and nothing. so i get in to go to work but i needed gas so i stopped at the gas station and as im filling up i see water coming from the front of the car i get down to check it out and its from the radiator on the driver side. am i f’d?
i filloed the rator up at the gas station and filled the reserve water tank up as well and when i got to work this morning it is not leaking anymore.

the pic below is where the water was coming from

Are you certain the coolant is leaking out of the radiator? If so, and if it’s leaking out of one of the seams or whatever, you need to replace it. Original-type radiators have plastic tanks at the top and bottom. They last a long time, but can’t really be fixed when they start to leak.

Sometimes, a leak will appear, then go away for a while. Replace it, though.

If you want a cheap option, check out the original-style radiators on ebay. They are really inexpensive, but the quality is good. I’ve had an original-style ebay radiator in my car for 8 years, no problems.

its a warning sign , like he said they are crimped plastic end pieces and after a while the gasket just gives it up , it prob leaks when you are driving ,you can almost see the glycol sheen under your car , once the system is pressurized and you are moving i bet it pisses out haha

thanks for the reply guy’s. another question i have will a ef radiator fit? i have a project car im working on that will not be running for about 2 more week’s and would rather use that if it fits

My oe was copper my nephews is copper plastic ones are cheep i went all aluminum 4 150.

is anyone running ebay half core radiator?

A Civic half radiator should be fine. You would have to tweak the lower radiator stays, and the upper radiator stay, too.

I have personally seen numerous boosted LS/VTEC set-ups running our Civic half rad with out any problems at all.

wish i had the money for one of your radiator’s for now i have to settle for a cheaper one.

I’ve buy a Half-Rad from a 95 Automatic Civic. I’ve been told Automatic one are thicker. I know mine is thicker than the OEM Manual one from my 98 EK.

yes i mean a half core but after market. i got a good deal on a almost new radiator with slim fan and oil cooler for 100 buck’s
