I know the fan works because I’ve put ground and power directly to it and it turns on. I tried jumping the fan switch with a paper clip and the fan won’t come but i hear the relay clicking. And I’ve tried switching the relay with the ac one and it does the same thing, it clicks. Any ideas where the problem is?
Your not getting power to the fans. Could be a fuse. If not, find where the fan gets power from and use a multimeter to find out why there’s no voltage. There’s clearly a short or open in that system.
Btw there is a ground wire that should be bolted to the radiator support behind the left headlight.
check the wiring between the fan and the relay. because you’ve jumped the switch and the relay is clicking (although that never is a positive indication that the relay is functioning correctly, but you did swap them with the same results so), it must be a problem between the relay and fan motor.
try back probing the motor connector. it’s probably not making good connection
Ok I will check fuses in the morning. Are the fuse locations the same for 1990 and 1993 integras? Reason i ask is I can’t find a fuse diagram for 1993 but i found one for 1990. What do you mean by back probing the connector?
it’s not going to be a fuse. the relay is getting power.
by back probing i mean, with the fan plugged in, check for power and ground from the back side of the fan connector. engine harness side. or if you don’t have a multimeter, just try putting power and ground into the back side of the connector, engine harness side. if the fan doesn’t come on by doing that, the problem is the connector/connection

how do i jump it with everything plugged in? Sorry im an electrical noob. Do you mean unplug the white connector in between the relay and the fan and supply power and ground to that?
The rad fan fuse and rad fan relay fuse are not the same.
Rad fan relay fuse, [fuse 21 - 15A] must be good as relay “clicks”.
Check fuse 12 - 15A, [rad fan power fuse], rad fan power is direct, [hot at all times] the rad fan relay supplies the ground for the fan.
If you do not have a test light or meter just use a jumper to supplu a ground to the rad fan , [blue lead] if fan does not turn on, use a jumper to supply power to the rad fan, [white lead on harness side of plug and blue/black on rad fan side of plug. 94
huh. didn’t know the fan had a separate fuse
Ok so I’m thinking if i unplug the fan switch and the fan motor, and then take a scrap wire and connect it ground wire to ground wire(from connector to connector). and then supply direct power to the fan motor and then jump fan switch with paper clip while key is in the on position. If fan turns on that way it’ll mean its the connector right?
It sounds like theres a short in the wire between the relay and the fan motor.
