i can’t drive my car right now because i can’t find the problem with my car…
my antifreeze is leaking really bad but i don’t knw where its leaking from its not leaking from the radiator i don’t think but maye the hoses but i checked the 2 big hoses 1 that goes to the radiator and the other one that goes from the bottom of the radiator to the engine and did not have holes… but the transmission area is full of that antifreeze and smokes up… but it leaks alot when u look at the ground on the transmission side… u c it leaking but can’t find it where its comming from…
when i found out i put more antifreeze and it was ok for a bit and i also added that stuff from CDN Tire that helps fix any leaks and it has some pebbles and i put it in the resevoir and filled it with the antifreeze…
today i was driving and anti freeze start leaking and the temp meter went all the way to hot… i parked the car at home and looked at the resevoir and it was not empty i added more antifreeze and thinking it might help but it did not… its not sucking up the antifreeze in i don’t knw why… when i press the hoses they are easy to press no air going throught it or anything… i open the radiator cap and it was empty… i don’t knw why its not pulling the anti freeze in…
anybody knw any solution for this ?? please helpp thank you i need my car on the road asap and this is fuckin me up… thx again…
check the hoses once more… replace them if needed… if the reservoir is not getting sucked in, i think that means you have no pressure in the water system… if the hoses are working, maybe the thermostat housing??? im pretty sure it could just be bad hoses, since both radiator hoses are on transmission side anyways…

i tested it by leaving the car on and took the hose that goes into the reservoir and c if it was sucking anything… but i don’t think thats how u suppose to check it… anwayz… what is that think that stick up with a black top from ur transmission side?? i think it can be leaking from there… but when i drove the car it start leaking more when i ideal it does not leak… so i don’t knw whats wrong… any other advice?? please help.
Is there any fluid on top of your tranny?? There are a couple coolant lines that run over top of it that you can check for leaks there.
Who installed the new radiator?? Make sure that the clamps that hold the upper and lower hose on are holding them on tight enough to create a seal.
Do you have an automatic or a manual transmission?? If you have an auto, there are 2 extra coolant lines on the bottom tank of the radiator. Make sure the hoses are on good with clamps and that the hoses arent cracked or broken.
That part is only if you have an automatic.
Antifreeze is green. Hose down the engine compartment so all the antifreeze is gone. Make sure your radiator is full…not the coolant bottle the radiator itself. Then start the car and let it run until it leaks. If it wont leak just sitting there drive it around the block then check it. When it is leaking get your head down there and look at where it is coming from. There are 2 radiator hoses and 2 heater hoses. These are the only 4 places that your motor should leak from. Actually 8 places because you have to check both ends of each hose and the full length of each hose. It is also possible that the radiator is leaking but then the antifreeze should be up front near the radiator not on the side by the tranny. There are actually some other places it could leak from but it is very unlikely to leak from those so check all the hoses first.
Basically the bright green antifreeze should be fairly easy to spot on a clean motor.
The coolant bottle will only suck fluid into a closed system and if you have a leak your system is not closed. When the coolant gets hot it expands into the coolant bottle then as it cools it sucks the coolant back into the radiator. If your system has a leak it is easier to suck air into the system than to suck the coolant back in. But even if it is working the coolant bottle is not the proper way to add coolant to a system that has leaked. You always want to make sure the radiator is full if you have noticed the coolant level in the bottle drop.

yes there are fluid on top of the trannny… but i still don’t got no pressure in the hoses when i press it i can easily press on it and makes some air noises… it only leakes when i drive it… and i drove it for 3 minutes and the engine says hot hot right away… also what is a thormostat? can that be the reason?? and what does the thormostat do? thx
It isnt the thermostat. When the thermostat goes bad the car will overheat, but it will cool off when you start driving again. It also wont cause any coolant leaks.
Look on the passenger side of your cylinder head for some hoses coming out the side of it. See if there is a tear in any of those hoses there. Also check the hoses that go from the FITV (thing that is bolted to the passenger side of your intake manifold.
All that it sounds like is that you have a broken coolant hose somewhere.
As far as that thing with the black cap on top of the transmission, that is just a breather hole for the transmission so it doesnt pressurize. The black cap is there to keep dirt, water, coolant, etc out of the transmission.
actaully sound like your water pump. When it stops working the pressure builds up on it until a seal breaks(thats how it is designed). So find your water pump and see if its coming from there. i know some of you are heelms whores, so lets help out by posting diagram. If that goes your timing belt could go next, and that could be bad.

I dont condone the use of that stuff. If your leaking coolant somewhere then you need to fix it, not work around it.
When I did my swap I drained the coolant from my LS and a bunch of that stuff had collected next to the coolant drain plug on the block. It was nasty and I am kinda surprised that it didnt actually harm anything (or maybe it did).
I was not the one to put it in my engine.
also only 1 of the fan on the radiator works i don’t knw if the other one suppose to work 2 or not… the passenger side fan works but the driver side does not…
im going to check all the hoses again… but im going to put some antifreeze in the radiator and then drive it for 2 min and definelty it will leak and im going to find out from where…
my uncle said it can be the thromastat because its not pressurised so it let it out of tight holes but i dont’ think thats the case… anwayz… hopefully i find the problem and its easy to fix…
how much does a hose cost? and is it easy to replace my self? and also is it a good idea to flush my radiator? and how to flush radiator??
good to hear its not my waterpump that would fuckin freak me out i have no money for 1 month straight and today is my insurance day and they takin 335 out of my bank and i have no money in it fuckin great…
anwyz thx for all the help guys u guys are amazing any other help would be appreiciated 2… thx again
thank god u all amazing help i found the problem… u knw the big upper hose from radiator to engine then at that same place in the engine hole there is another small hose that goes to the close to the intake that has a big hole in it… is it easy to replace? and how much would it cost? and do i have to do anything else?? i did remove reservoiour and refilling it with clean antifreeze… and im going to be filling the radiator also ?? hopefully thats all i have to do right?
paymepunk - I am confrontational only when I need to be. I dont consider what I said as confrontational at all. I just dont like it when people give out bad advice or dont take the time to read over someone’s problem.
If he took your advice it would have cost him a lot of extra money and time, especially since it sounds like he doesnt know what he is doing.
No biggie, he found the problem. Or did I find the problem…
Integra_2222 - Just pull that hose off and take it to a parts store to get a replacement hose. Just tell them what it is for and they will get you what you need.
It shouldnt cost you more than a couple dollars to fix that.

thank god i checked all the hoses… its a hard hose to find because its behind the upperhose area where it ends at the coolent bleed bolt right behind it… i don’t knw what its called but i explained that to the acura dealer hopefully he has the right part i said tommarow… he said 6 bucks cdn i was suprised… wow im so fuckin happy now… cuz i somehow found a way to pay off for insurance fuckin mother fuckers rapist mother fuckers
thx all
