Radiators!

Anybody tried any aftermarket radiators besides fluidyne?

And for those who do have fluidyne, how do u like it

thnx

Are you looking for something for performance? Or just need a new radiator? I had a leak in mine, so I replaced with an aftermarket radiator. I don’t remember the brand, it was cheap, like $130. It went it easy, and I haven’t had any problems.

I replaced my cracked, stock radiator with a C&R a few months ago. Dropped right in, no problem. The only downside is that it only comes with one fan. My A/C still works good, it just doesn’t work as well as it did when not moving. I haven’t had any overheating problems since.

Dumb question of the century:

So those fans are only for the A.C.?

If u can reply without telling me im retarded, please do so.

Also: is the fluidyne rad. thicker or thiner than oem rad,?

thanks

The fans aren’t just for the A/C. Every car has those fans, even if they don’t have A/C. Some cars have just 1 fan, instead of 2 smaller ones.

The fans are meant to help cool the radiator and A/C condensor, which is like a radiartor for your A/C. The condensor is in front of the radiator.

cant u just switch the fans to the new radiator?

You should be able to. I bought an aftermarket radiator, and used my stock fans. My radiator would have worked for an auto or manual, and for a ND or Toyo type radiator. You have to know what kind of radiator you have, so that you can use the proper atachments, but it should say it right on top of the radiator. The reason that it’s different for an auto or manual is that the auto has an ATF cooler hooked up to the radiator, and the maunal doesn’t. I have a manual, so I just have to plug 2 holes in the radiator with the screws provided.

let me know if you have any other questions.

cool thnx for the info

u sure you’re not talking about Toyo?

no, not TOYO
TOYO and Denso makes OEM rads for our cars

but KOYO is an aftermarket company that sometimes makes rads for toyo…i know sounds confusing

I needed a radiator for my 93 integra so I ordered one from a radiator shop and it cost me $410AUD. After that I decided to
e-mail my local Honda dealer to see how much it would cost.

They wanted $1225.15AUD. I just had to laugh

Toy Plastic Radiator

Placed a bid on a Teg radiator on EBay and…for 75 plus shipping ended up with a PLASTIC toy radiator for my 92 GS-R!! What a rip! I shipped the offensive, useless plastic toy back to The Radiator Doctor on a rail. Watch out for those guys… I am still in the market for an aluminum/brass product for my car. Mines not leaking yet, but with 120Kon this one, I know its days are numbered. I don’t want to spend 350 on a Fluidyne. Who makes a good, reliable METAL replacement radiator at a reasonable price?
