radio anti theft problem

my radio doesn’t work and it makes me sad :frowning:

i replaced the battery and when i restarted my car my radio wounldn’t turn on.
but there is a blinking red light where it says anti-theft

how do i tell whats the activation code to get it to work again?
when i pulled the radio out there was a number written on it that said 44341 is that the activation code? i tried to press the numbers in but nothing :frowning:

am i suppose to press another button first then the activation code?

pull the radio out of the car get the serial number and call acura and they can look it up OR they can get your vin number and they can give you a code

i donno if thats the code but its the right amount of numbers. try it. i think all u need is to press power. then enter the code im not 100% on it but if that doesnt work i can check my owners manual tomorrow.(for the step by step)

Thanks a lot, ill try that later on today when I have time…really wish I didn’t throw out my owneres manual now

Mines MINT! i wouldnt throw it out. thats origional mann

the radio doesnt even turn on, i tried holding the button, nothing on the screen shows up, and when i start the car me antenna doesnt go up either :frowning:
any ideas? could it be a fuse gone bad?

no harm in checking. but i doubt it lemme see if i can dig up my book there might be a sequence before the code or simething. im sure some1 knows it on here but no1 has answer yet! lol. but im sure the writing on it is ur code cause its the exact amount of numbers needed

k well it just says this ill tyupe it in word for word…" when the unit is switched on after disconnected from the battery,"“CODE”"" will apear on the display. enter the code with the presets buttons. Even if “”“CODE”""" is still displayed after you enter the code No. input the code No. again.""

THATS WHAT IT SAYS IN THE BOOK. so if u got no power check fuses or mayb the plug behind the radio isnt fully inserted. who knows.

the radio doesnt even turn on, and it fully is plugged in, i double checked
i guess it not met to be :frowning: thanks for your help

no problem man. i guess check ur power wire to the radio. maybe its pinched or something.

Well the anti theft light blinks so I don’t understand why it doesn’t turn on, ohhh wells haah

I believe the radio locks out after three attempts with the wrong code and will not turn on.

You then must detach all power to the radio for a brief period of time allowing it to clear the temporary lock out.

To activate it again, reattach the radio to power and it again should turn on and present the code request again, meaning it is available for three attempts at keying in the correct code.

Key in the wrong code again three times and it will lock out and you will need to start over by removing the power.

The correct code was often written on the bottom of ash trays by dealers, if not you will need to retrieve it from your local dealer with the serial number or your original factory radio code card.

really? kool, ill go unplug it right now and tell you how it goes tomarrow thanks man

ummm

this man speaks the truth. unplug your radio or the battery from your car and let it set for at least an hour so it can reset itself. Your radio code is a 5 digit set of numbers. The 5 numbers your previously posted were more than likely it. If they do not work get the serial number of the radio unit itself and call your local acura dealer and give them the serial number. It DOES NOT work with your VIN number. That is a common misconception. Not sure why. I work at a Honda dealership and we tell our customers with this problem to unhook the battery for an hour.

i tried it DB2-R81 way and it still didnt work :frowning: i unplugged the radio for all night and when i got up to try it, fail LOL

i tried DAtIntegra35 way too, i unplugged the battier and unplug the radio for about 3-4 hours and still didnt work.

i guess its faith, no radio for me LOL

shittt. last bet is to try callin the dealership!>?! theyu might have something for u. and still u gotta check ur code anywayz. if ur radio is really messed up i got 1 its OEM with codes.

hahah, alright man, thanks for all the help, ill check it out when i have time, and if i need that radio ill hit you up
i want to keep the interior all OEM

security-anti theft light may be on if constant power is present, but may not turn on if ACC power is not present. I.E. it has main power to give, but has no signal to tell it to turn on when you switch your key into the ACC/ON position.

is it all original wiring & such? never tampered with?

if so, double checking fuses is #1 to check, physically pull it out, and maybe try using a different fuse. there are rare cases where the fuse is visibly fine, but has no continuity.
