Heres the problem the radio fuse keeps blowing out. This happened right after i connected a new radio harness/plug cause the previous owner cut it out.I’ve double checked the wires already and cant seem to find the problem.Once i put the fuse in it blows automatically anyone ever experienced this i need the help.
no help here???
might b a snag sumwere and its grounding out.
anyone in the daytona area that can take a look?
sounds like a short to ground situation are you positive you hooked up the wiring harnesses together right and which fuse is blowing the one on the headunit or the one in the fuse box.
Yeah its right color to color everything matches and its the 15a fuse…
Ditto the above ^^^.
Which fuse is blowing, the radio acc. fuse, [fuse 22 - 10A] or the radio constant power fuse, [fuse 14 - 15A]?
When does fuse blow…
As soon as you put it in?
As soon as you turn on the ign.?
As soon as you turn the HU on?
Does it still blow if the HU is not plugged in? 94
Im not sure what fuse it is,i dont have the cover that says what it is but its a 15a.
and as soon as the fuse touches the fuse socket it blows
That is the 12V+ constant power fuse, check the white/blue lead at the radio plug, what is it connected to?
Unplug the HU, does fuse still blow?
If you did not have this problem before you did the “rewire” then either the problem is your wiring or the HU itself, here is a pin-out… http://www.installdr.com/Harnesses/HA-Wiring.pdf 94
The white/blue is connected to the white/blue thats it.I dont have to connect the HU for it to blow so i guess its just the wiring but i’ve rewired it twice already shits frustrating.
Unplug the lighter and the clock and try again.
I would also disconnect the dome light and map lights if you have them. and disconnect the trunk/hatch light, all are on fuse 14. 94
i tried it,still the same problem also rewired it using the butt connecters and still same problem wtf can it be…maybe the plug is faulty
If you disconnect the plug you butt connected on to the radio harness, does fuse still blow?
Did you disconnect the other items? 94
