umm i think the radio bolts in that metal caseing in there. use honda MTF or use motor oil. of course honda MTF is better.
I’ve got ghetto cardboard holding my stereo in place haha, however if I shift hard, the thing flies out. I’m getting a new unit soon though!
Okay guys… here’s is the correct way to mount a radio/cd player into the teg’s. I am an ex-installer… so I can assure you all this is the best way.
First remove, the old radio, duh!
Then Remove the underdash panel on drivers side.
Remove the console, and gear knob, lots screws, including the ones next to the light above the radio.
Once you have all this out, remove the four screws that hold the plastic bezel around the radio and plastic pocket.
To mount radio, you need the plastic pocket and a cradle/metal cage to hold the radio… so far so good:)
Then fit the cradle and pocket to the plastic surround and secure them with back strap, to lock them together, then you can get another piece to secure that to the plastic at the bottom near the lighter with screws and speed clips. Then put it all back together.
Trust me it works, I have a $4000 Alpine screen mounted this way in a very low and very stiffly sprung Teg, and it has never come out…
If you have any audio related Teg questions, I can help.:gotpics:
