I’ve completed it, tested it, confirmed the gains. It works. And here is your link!

hey props for creativity. did you conjure up that idea yourself, or is this something others are doing? how much gains did you get from it?
I actually pulled off the wheel well liner and intake resonator intending to make a ram air, I had never seen it on a G2. Then I discovered the horn and spent the next 30 mins trying to decide where to mount the damn thing. So it’s a conjuration of my own conception. ![]()
I don’t have access to a dyno, but I felt a significant increase in torque as well as top end. Before I did this my motor felt like it wanted to give up at 6k rpm, now I can feel it producing power all the way to redline.
very nice and good for those who have like no money…!!
i think my friend has soemthing similar on his accord… he has a heating duct like your’s … and a RS Akimoto intake… so the heating duct pulls air from the front grille right to the intake… very similar to your setup…
any reason why you didnt do the cai extension instead?
the link wont work… i wanna see it, i wanna see it…![]()
well done! 404 not found
What are the chances of picking up some water with this setup?
I did this ram air and the only different thing i did i used metal drier tubing just because less air flow resistance.
This ram air tip does work. I felt more power all the way up to redline.
P.S. you can find out how to do this in Teg tips

I don’t think you would pick up that much water unless u sumerge the car. plus the vent holes are not that big so i don’t think that water should be a problem.
ive done it too, just last week, but i have a short ram intake as it is, i dont really feel anything, but i know its there
im thinking about hookin the hose to the end of my intake so i know where its going
pics here http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=4291988403
i think this mod would work a lot better with people who still have the stock intake cause it traps the air in that box
the ram air design is what it suppose to mean ram air. you run the air straight into a closed space and with that it keeps pressure in there. basically the only way i found how to do is is to have a extention at where the stock resonator is at and route it to the front where the horns are at and still keep your stock intake piping and filter even better with K&n. of cours eyou wil have to slea off all the extra holes etc. espcailly the one in the usually spot for the stock box intake.
I did this mod yesterday! I really do feel some difference in high rpm. The only question i have is… My horn wasn’t there!! Not in the same place as the pic on Teg Tips. Also It looks like the dryer vent is closer to the grill in the pic than i could accually get it. But still… definetly a worth while mod for the price!!!

Too bad mine got ripped out when my inner fender liner came flying off on the interstate at 140mph. Looks like I’m redoing it this weekend.
haha. That sounds like a good mod to do today.
question for u folks that did this, where did u go to buy the tube thingy? home depot? whats it called? and what size diameter would be a good fit?
I didn’t use the white dryer tubing like the rest of them cuz it would restrict air more cuz of the bumps than the flexable metal kind. But with the white tubing you can get right to the grill with the metal tubing i had to cut a hole so that the air would get in there better. either way will work i just didn’t was air flow restriction.
I have an even better way to do this…its all the same cus I copied his idea but with my way it involves a jig-saw. I used a metal brake duct that my step dad had on his race car…its 4 inches in diameter (fits perfectly).
Follow all of the steps all the way to when you tie on the tubing with the zip tie to where the horn mount is. Here you have to get the jig-saw out and insert the blade in through the vent-(i don’t know what its called but it is directly in front of where the horn was, {the little black vent thing in it just pops out just to let you know}) Now start cutting as high up as you can in a horizontal direction towards the drivers side of the car and keep cutting as far as you can without cutting anything like ur bumper or horn or maybe ur finger. Now when ur done cutting, bend the piece you just cut towards the back of the car so it is parallel with the sides of the car. Now take ur tubing and stick it right up to the vent THEN attach it to the horn mount you just cut.
DONE…this is a much better way…I did this on my 90 Teg LS and I used to not be able to peel out in second gear with my Nitto tires and now I can. And one more thing…take ur tubing and place it inside ur cone air filter if u have one - this will make it more like “RAM” air then anything…and another thing…take a funnel and cut it to the exact shape of ur vent and then place it in ur new ram air down by the vent and then you will funnel the air into ur RAM air and get even more air! The more the merrier! IM me on AIM on MusicIsAir if you have questions!
