i have a jdm b18cr with skunk stage 2 cams and an-r compact header dynoed at 200whp 134 torque. went to etown and ran twice. here is my best time slip.
wheels are falken azenis with spoon wheels. launched around 5k. i’m a bit disapointed because there are members here and on honda-tech that has less hp and run similar or better times. what are typical 60’s with azenies? i really dont know what i’m doing wrong. any pointers? thanks in advance
not a bad time …but that 60’ is holding you back …with that power you should be in the 13’s …i say look into getting some bfg gforce’s …azenis are better than nothing but bfg’s are great …im buying my friends set and im going to put them on my blades …
it would seem that way but I had an aftermarket clutch (stage 4) in my b16 powered teg and I had virtually no wheel spin when I didnt want any. this could also be due to the fact that I am a bad ass driver. If I could have ever made it to the track I have a feeling my 60’s would have been very low (in the 1.6X territory). I used to eat WRX’s off the line.
I need to get to the track in the jetta, before and after an aftermarket clutch install, but this thing is such a torque monster it may only make it worse. I REALLY need an LSD. I cant rev at all off the line or I wont move.
Haha, NO! Just because you didn’t spin the wheels, doesn’t mean that you would have been that low. I never spun my wheels all year last year, and my best was a 2.4. lol
that would be hot if your cutting a 1.9 60’ foot i see alot of people that can barely pull a 2.0 with decent power and a nice set of bfg’s …you should def. hit the strip and see what kind of 60’ your pulling …
Well that was with my old teg. I sold it awhile back. As of right now something like that would be impossible in my Jetta…I’m going to need a LSD and some slicks so I can actually hook up in first.
