Hi all Im new to this site but but not to hondas. Well let me give you some history about the car. It has 187K, 190 psi on all cylinders compression test, A slipping clutch, and no mods. and I paid 900 bucks for it. Now to the runs.
My first run was a 16.1 @ 85.11 with a 2.4 60ft. I was ok with that, But I wanted more. So I took out the air filter and bolted the air box back up air silencer and all. In stock trim launching at 5200 dropping the clutch (remember I can do this cause it slips real bad) and no air filter being the only mod I went 15.78 @ 85.86 with a 2.24 60ft. I would not have pulled this time if the clutch wasent slipping in my favor. My other runs were 15.9 @ 84.9 and 16.4 @ 84.xx .
What do you guys think? I’m not real crazy about the mph but the time is ok in my opinion.

well my first time out ever in my gsr (w/ k&n intake) ran a 15.9 but im a shitty drag driver
so i guess thats really good for and stock ls

Whats up fellow Floridian!! Well I will be dynoing my LS all stock then while Im there im going to take out the airfilter to see how much is gained. Im hoping for 110hp and 110tq at the wheels but I’ll have to wait to see the truth. My wifes Type R put 170hp and 119tq. Just thought I would add that.

at least u identified most of your problem -(slipping clutch)… and i must say not a bad short time for a slipping clutch (2.24)… of course on a g2 u know its cable tranny and has an adjustment… u might want to adjust a bit, as this might help your slippage issues

Yeah I want to be at the meets. I’ll bring my wife’s Type R too if its allowed, you know it being a G3 and all. J/K. Yeah I think its because of the slipping clutch that I got such a good 60ft. It slipped just perfect to not spin and jump off the line.The best 60ft I have pulled out of the Type R is 2.2 but it has lsd and my LS dont.
