So, my front and rear side-moldings are nice and shiny black, but my door side-moldings are faded and shitty-looking. are they made out of a different material? what can i do to bring them back to life besides painting? any good products on the market?
thanks guys.
there is a product that I know they sell in England but I dont know if they offer it here. Shit I can think of the name. If you have a barnes and noble near you go there and find the car magazines. They should have “MAX POWER” (the european edition) or “BANZAI” or some other european car magazine. They always advertise car care products in them (and some have naked chicks lol) and I recall seeing the type of product you need , over and over and over (in between pics of hot naked chicks)
hahahaha i love how hot naked chicks always make it hard to remember things but how hot the naked chicks were hahahah
lol
Go to your local auto store and get Mother’s Back to Black…it works amazing…it’s meant for bringing your trim back to life.
i second this
Meguiar’s makes a Gold Class trim detailer, which is pretty much the same as Mother’s Back to Black. Both of these work quite well, but neither last very long and they should only be considered a temporary solution.
i got back to black and it works pretty good, doesn’t look perfect but a lot better
if this back to black is only a temp fix what should i use to bring them back longer? mine are faded as well and really bring down the eye appeal of my car.
Dupli-color makes a paint product called Trim Paint. Remove the molding from your car, sand them down or get all the dirt out, then paint it with the can (follow instructions on the spray can for best results)
didnt know about the duplicolor remedy for trim:)
just use some rubbing compound and it will polish it up.
is there a paint product duplicolor doesnt make something for…i swear if it involves paint duplicovers all over it
“new arrival…duplicolor blow up doll…available in black, white, yellow, brown and red!..green too…for u e.t. freaks”
o snap for real where can i get me one of those dolls:rofl:
Use peanut butter
red x’s FTL
that pic above doesn’t show.
Look for a tube called “Black Again” works wounders on moldings, trims and such. Its what we used to use when I detailed at dealerships.
I get it at a local paint jobber, check your yellow pages.
I will see if I can find another pic of the tube.
