So I was doing my first ever brake pad change with Hawk HPS for the front tires. What a difference over the POS Akebono stuff I had on prior. Anyways my ABS light has been on for the past few years and I never bothered with it until now so I decided to find and clean the sensors. I found the front sensors no problem and cleaned them with WD-40 and a towel. I tried locating the rear sensor by removing the 2 bolts on the cover, but after giving it a 360 degree look around I still couldn’t find the sensor. I feel stupid cause I know it has to be there somewhere. Can anyone give me a pointer as to what side its on (top, bottom, left, right of the rotor)? Thank you.
I had the same problem, I asked my mechanic and he said they are behind the rotors towards the bottom. Basically, you’ll have to remove the rotors to allow access to the Sensors. Hope this helps
