Hi, how do I take appart my 90 integra rear taillights??? I got them out and infront of me, I unscrewed some screws and how do I get the plastic off the red cover???

and.

how do I take my front hearligths out??? as a whole peice???

taillights: do a search, and check the archived forum. Its been explained how to take them apart numerous times. Basically you cook them in the oven and then pry them apart. For the more detailed instructions do a search.

as for the headlights. Start by taking off your bumper. Then open the hood and remove the corner lenses. Then they come right out (5-6 bolts per headlight assembly). The headlights will come out in one piece per side (big metal bracket holds the headlight and foglight together).

That’s so hard to do. I put it into at 250 degrees and left them in there, then took it out and tried to get the lens off and it’s SO HARD. I ended up braking off my plastic part by the vent.

its not hard to do, i’ve done it before, and its very easy. You just need to be patient. I used about 200-220 deg when i did it. I let it sit in there for a good 20 minutes or so to start off with. Then pulled it out and started prying. It started off really slow, and they didn’t come apart much before the light cooled down. So, i put it back in the oven to warm up again. Then pryed some more, and this time they came apart a little more. I kept prying and heating and prying and heating… until the lense was apart. It took awhile, but it wasn’t difficult and i didn’t crack or chip the lense at all.

here is what you need to remember, its VITAL!

  1. Take your time! be patient, and think before you pry
  2. Keep the glue warm. You can’t work the lense for much more than 3-5min before it needs to go in the oven again (or at leas thats how it was for me).
  3. Error on the side of caution. If you think you’re prying too hard, then you probably are. If you think the glue is too cold, it probably is.
