My breathr chamber is leaking so I want to fix it but dont know exactly what I need. I did search for any related topics but no hits.
So far I know I need the breather chamber o ring but dont know if this will fix the probleme alone or not.
(accura pn#91324-PR3-003 O-RING (29X2.5)
this is for the 00 itr motor so not sure if its the same for all B series blocks. Its # 11 in the diagram.
The breather-box o-ring is the only thing you should need. Unless the box got a hole in it somehow, or the hoses on the top got cracked… I’m betting its just the o-ring.
Every breather box that I’ve pulled off, the o-ring is prettymuch flat and on the verge of leaking.
how do you remove the breather cuz I cant see any bolts from under the car…
You have to remove the Intake Manifold Support Bracket… 2 bolts in the bottom of the manifold, and 2 bolts in the block (I believe).
Once that is off, I think the breather chamber only has 1 bolt. You don’t have to remove the two hoses on top… just pull the chamber out far enough to replace the seal, then re-install. Its a bitch because of where it sits, but the job itself is cake.
and if you have the extra will power…use honda-bond (or rtv silicon) around the o ring before you install it…helps seal that area much better.
