Rear Bumper Fix

Does anyone out there have any helpful tips on how to fix the rear bumper where the clips break near the wheel well… wear it falls down a bit… im sure some of you have had this honda prone problem?

replace the clips

Lol

hahaha… but the holes are rusted out… and no need to get smart… just askin a question

one side of mine is rusted out too, i think im gonna try some surgery with industrial zipties.

I wasn’t trying to be a smart ass. you didn’t state in your original post that the bolt holes were rusted. maybe you could drill the holes out, retap the holes, enlarge the holes in the bumper slide and bolt her up.

if his is like mine, then the actualy metal where the holes were is gone. i pulled my bumper out a little and all that just fell out like dirt.

mine did the same shit. the only REAL fix is to buy quarter panels from acura. they arent cheap and they arent easy to install. I ordered mine aboutr a month ago and they were close to $600 and unless you have body work experience you wont do it yourself. good luck, man.

600 with my discount BTW

You can get quarters from the junk yard but you’ll have to “Trim” them off the section of car they’ll give you then fit them to yours and repair whatever minor damage they may have from parking lots. It’s more labor intensive but cheaper. You gotta be able to weld plug welds on thin steel and know what the hell you are doing though.

yeah, i just fixed the drivers side of mine with zipties last night. hang it up over the gas tank downpipe. lines up good now  just the mud guard is different, but completely unnoticeable.

There you go. Done and done. Cheap and won’t rust :ohyeah:
