wats a good way to pull the control arm low enough so that i can get the strut out. I can’t seem to get enough clearance to clear the fork of the bottom strut off the arm.
The rears are a pain in the ass.
If you have an easy-to-use spring compressor, that would be a good way to go.
Otherwise, you can disconnect the lower arm at the frame or something.
i put a foot up its ass!..i just kinda put my foot on the tire and pushed, i would try for a solution that doesnt envolve losing a leg first though.
easy cheezy-
just unbolt the LCA.
one big stud more and you’re there.
I had my UCAs off anyway for camber kits, and the lower arm dropped far enough to get the old out and new in.
I just unbolted the two bolts that you use for camber adjustment (washer trick). Take those off and you should be able to get the LCA low enough to clear the strut. To raise the lca back up to put the bolts back in just use the car jack under the LCA (assuming that your car is on jack stands).
yeah thanks … i unbolted the the sway bar to lca bolt and the upper one that connects lca, or brake shit… i forgot , to the frame and then i just kicked its ass
