Rear De Frost

I haven’t had rear de frost all year winter mostly just because it has been to cold for me to do something that i could live without. I have lived without so far but now its starting to warm up so I would like to take a shot at fixing this. I really have no idea were to start. Obviously i have checked the fuse and that is all good. I’m kinda a noob with all this, so I really have no idea where to go after that. I looked on the board for something that related to this if I missed it I apologize if I missed something, as well as the help in advance.

Most probable and common, is a problem with the ICU, the ICU controls the rear window defog relay.

Questions…
Do your intermittent wipers work?
Does your warning chimes still work, [seat belt, key still in ign., lights still on]?
Do the front side markers still work properly?

If any of the above are not working properly it is an indication that the ICU is the problem.

You said you checked the fuse and it was good, how did you check it, did you actually test it or just eyeball it?

Either test the fuse or replace it with a known good one, swap it with a known working one in the fuse box, [same size fuse].

To properly troubleshoot your electrical system you will need a multimeter, do you have one or can you borrow one?
If not, bite the bullet and spend the $20 and pick one up at Radio Shack, if you are going to work on your cars electrical yourself a multimeter is your most important tool and it will pay for itself in no time.94
