ok, I got this da hatch a couple months ago and it has really bad tint in the back to the point I couldn’t see out of it. I went to the tint guy and he told me he would remove it for me for $50-60 bucks w/o messing up the defogger lines. I passed on it and decided to do it myself. So I didn’t know much about the fogger lines, and I removed it all by myself using a scrapper blade and some windex. I scrapped the whole rear window, and I think I messed up all the lines. When its really foggy in the rear window, and I turn the defogger on, nothing happens. So I think its really messed up. Theres these metal lines at the very end of the glass, I think I scrapped it too, do you guys think its possible to repair it all with the paint repair kit, or just find a trunk w/glass at the junk, I have da’s all day at the junk here in Central Valley.
New Hatch glass.
no money as right now too, damn, I guess I have to wait and see, summer is almost here anyways so I guess I would have to wait for a 50% sale at the junk. I wonder does most people have this problem and just leave it alone, I know it does bother sometime that its hard to see through.
all the lines are made of are really thin copper if you could find a copper pen and just fill in the lines were they are broken it would work again, also depends on how bad you messed it up
a copper pin, hmm, I check that out, because I don’t wanna mess with the glass taking it out. Its in excellent condition besides the lines. I think I scrapped it to hard, see theres this wire right, on each side of the glass. and I scrapped it but its still on there, like I scrapped the bottom of it only, like you can actually tuck a quarter under the wire or something, its not hanging or anything. is that copper pin sort of like glue also. I’ll take a picture of it.
