Rear defrost not working

IS THERE ANYTHING I NEED TO BUY TO MAKE IT WORK ??? OR WHAT SHOULD I CHECK PLEASE HELP I LIVE IN NEW ENGLAND AND ITS ALREADY SNOWING DOWN HERE 11-1-11 smh

you can search here on g2 under icu I think that is one of the things the icu controls

It in indeed your ICU, the Integrated Control Unit. It is located behind the main Fuse box, right by the hood latch. This unit controls the rear window defroster, intermittent wipers, door chime, over-head dome light when doors are ajar, the key-in-ignition chime, etc.

It’s a simple fix, you just have to pull the old one out and replace it. The circuit board, after many years of harsh weather, corrode and lose connection. Find one that has a fully functional circuit board and then swap the out. Space under the dashboard is tight but it’s well worth it.

thanks alot guys ima go to the junk yard this weekend and try swapping it out will keep posted !!

i only have two, maybe 3 lines working on my DB1…any suggestions?

^^there are repair kits available
to the op, i wouldn’t just go jumping into swapping the icu. could be the switch, fuse, or wiring as well

I just bought an ICU from someone on here! Their expensive as fauk if you buy em new from Honda, but this guy charges less than $30/shipped in the states. Idk how much shipping to the UK is though.
